Dear Minden Charity Supporter:

We would like to invite you to participate in our fifth annual fund-raising effort as a $1,000 sponsor. Thanks to our sponsors, last year’s event was another huge success, with over $33,000 raised for local charitable causes. Since our inception in 2004, we’ve provided almost $100,000 to over 77 families in Minden and the surrounding areas, and have done so quickly, when called upon. Needs have ranged from house fires, to catastrophic illnesses, to hurricane relief for our south Louisiana neighbors who were “transplanted” to our area.

The dates for this year’s event will be May 30-June 1, and will be similar to last year’s schedule, with dinner, raffle, and an auction on Friday night, heavy hors d’ouevres and a dance on Saturday night with the Gnarly Brothers. Like last year, golf will be played at The Grove Golf Course on both days, and the social events held at Pine Hills Country Club.

We’ve attached a schedule of events and times for your convenience, as well as a sponsor registration form. We had a full field of sponsor-only teams last year and anticipate the same for 2008, so we strongly encourage you to respond promptly, no later than May 1st. Beyond May 1st, we cannot guarantee a team to past sponsors.

In short, your participation, generosity, and support are making a positive and immediate difference in our community, and that’s what makes our area special.
